Xinhua news agency, Trieste, Italy, June 27 (reporter chenzhanjie, He Fei) - the China EU land sea express Hisense special train operated by COSCO Shipping left the Italian port of Trieste on the 27th and headed for Slovenia. This marks the official opening of the fourth channel of COSCO China EU land sea express in the European continent.
Li Bin, Minister economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Italy, said at the opening ceremony that the opening of this special train will help strengthen Sino Italian port cooperation, promote China EU trade exchanges, and increase the exports of Italian small and medium-sized enterprises to China.
Lin Ji, deputy general manager of COSCO Shipping Group, said at the opening ceremony that the opening of the fourth channel of the China EU land and Sea Express is another upgrade of the China EU land and Sea Express service and will play a greater role in further promoting economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between China and Europe.
Masimiliano fedriga, President of the Friuli Venezia region where Trieste is located, expressed his gratitude to the Chinese side for attaching importance to the potential of Trieste port and hoped that all parties would create more business cooperation opportunities.
Selvatic, general manager of Trieste maritime terminal, said that the opening of Hisense special train is a milestone in the development history of the terminal and is crucial to the innovation and upgrading of this traditional logistics system.
The China EU land and Sea Express line covers Greece, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Spain and other places.
