After completing the loading and unloading of 7968 TEUs at the Dapukou wharf, the ship will load machinery accessories, small household appliances and other commodities and sail to the ports of countries along the Mediterranean Sea.
Wangdanli, assistant manager of the operation Department of Zhoushan Yongzhou Container Terminal Co., Ltd., said that this is the first ship of the new Mediterranean route, which is expected to add about 24000 TEUs of import and export containers per month. "Convenient customs measures and a good business environment at the port have given us the confidence to expand our business on new routes." Wangdanli said.
With the opening of new routes, the volume of export containers at ports has increased. For this reason, Zhoushan customs has done a good job of docking in advance, paid close attention to the dynamics of route ships, guided enterprises to adopt customs clearance modes such as booking customs clearance and declaration in advance, and provided services such as 7*24 hours of ship service and weekend booking inspection. It has coordinated the work of checkpoint inspection, inspection supervision, logistics monitoring, customs clearance and release, so as to realize the seamless connection between "arrival inspection and rapid customs clearance" of inspected goods, Goods without control and inspection requirements shall be released upon arrival, so as to ensure the smooth operation of the new route.
Since the beginning of this year, Zhoushan customs has been pursuing the endogenous power of enterprise development, supporting the construction of Ningbo Zhoushan port as a first-class strong port with high standards, and continuously improving the opening level of the port. Up to now, the number of international container routes operated by the Dapukou container terminal of Ningbo Zhoushan port has increased to 27, and 46 major ports in 29 countries and regions along the "the Belt and Road", including West Africa, East Africa and the Mediterranean Sea.
